Autumnal Dublin City Wedding

October is one of my favourite times of year to capture weddings! I loved this day. We started out with prep in the Alex Hotel in Dublin before heading to Smock Alley for a gorgeous intimate spiritualist ceremony.

It was then time for a drinks reception with lots of mingling and chatting before we all left to Brother Hubbards for a gorgeous dinner. While on our way to the restaurant we took a walk around town and captured some nice photos :)

R & L - Intimate Dublin City Wedding.

2020 meant many alterations for so many couples planning to have their big day. It’s been so tough on so many and the wedding industry itself.

However, some still decided to proceed with smaller numbers and that’s what R & L did! Instead of getting married abroad followed by a large party back home, they decided to have a registry office wedding in Dublin, followed by drinks in the Westin Hotel and dinner in the Dean Hotel. It went off beautifully!

L & E - A sweet pre wedding shoot in Dun Laoghaire!

Two happy heads - One sweet couple shoot!

Couple shoot / Just Us / Engagement Shoots / Pre wedding Shoots - They all intend to have the same results. To not only have some beautiful keepsake memories to treasure from this exciting time in your lives before you stand in front of your loved ones and declare your love for each other, but to also get comfortable with your photographer!

As your photographer, I am probably one of the few people who is with you all day, witnessing so many moments and being really attentive to what’s happening. So it’s really important to me that the couple is comfortable, happy and heard! It’s so important that you have someone on the day who really cares about you and your day!

Back to recently when I met up with L & E in Dun Laoghaire for their mini E-shoot and from the minute I met them, I knew we were going to get on amazingly on their wedding day! I can’t wait to shoot their day tomorrow! Keep an eye out for a future blog!

H & G - A Beautiful Summer shoot in Dublin

A Beautifully Colourful Dublin City shoot!

When H got in touch with me through Instagram wondering if I would do an extended couple shoot in Dublin City I was super excited! I love shooting in Dublin City and getting the chance to stroll through the city and then out to a nearby park and beach to get a variety of portraits with outfit changes? Yes please!

We had so much fun strolling and chatting over several hours though the city before I drove them out to nearby St Anne’s Park and Dollymount Strand. I love that my job enables me to meet so many fantastic people from all over the world and hear their stores :)

A & R - A day of laughter and happy tears in Clontarf Castle!

Love, laughter and happy tears. This was one fantastic wedding!

A&R came all the way over from Wisconsin to tie the knot in the lovely Clontarf Castle last May! Tom and I had so much fun with them and there closest family members and friends. It was a small wedding of less than fifty people and was beautifully intimate. You could feel the love in the room!

The lads got ready together with friends and there was a couple of whiskeys and laughs had before heading downstairs to say their I do’s. Tom was on hand to help tie the ties and button holes as usual!

The ceremony full of happy tears and laughs and performed beautifully. Katie Hughes provided the beautiful music for the occasion.

Afterwards it was onto the drinks reception while we headed out for a few minutes to take some portraits out front. The lads treated everyone to an epic Game of Thrones themed entrance into dinner to plenty of laughter! There was even som GoT cookies on hand!

Once it was time to ready the dancefloor, we were treated to an unreal performance by an Irish dancing troop which got everyone going before the lads performed their first dance. After this, Tom got in between everyone and got some fantastic shots of everyone busting moves! We didn’t want to leave!!

So here’s to A&R. May they have many more decades celebrating love to come!
